Traversing beautiful Sohoton cove, Bucas Grande Island which lies within the breadth of the Pacific. Humbled by its natural wonder, it made us all rethink how truly blessed we are with abundant natural resources and home of some of the world’s most exceptional biodiversity. Travelling helps us all be reminded how we should serve as caretakers of mother nature. Let us all start with our little action towards protecting the environment. May it be by opting to use biodegradable products, using one reusable container rather than disposable ones, making a conscientious decision when buying stuff that we may not even need it in the first place, not throwing out trash anywhere thinking that maybe somehow it will dissolve one day - it may never will. I am confident we can all do our part and collectively address what our mother nature calls out for us to preserve and protect. Please stay tuned for more photos and short clips of our adventure!

The Dhammayangyi is the largest temple on the plains of Bagan. From a distance, it resembles the early step pyramids of Egypt. Prior our trip to Bagan, we made sure to do our homework and map our way through the most beautiful Pagodas and maximize the limited five days that we have to explore and learn more about the ancient city. Though we had plans to see Dhammayangyi at a much later time, we made our way here by accident as we are looking for another pagoda which is almost adjacent to it. Every direction of Bagan’s dusty and dry landscape left us with nothing but the awe of its grandeur.

One of the majestic and tallest Pagoda in Bagan. Built by King Alaungsithu (1113-1163), Thatbyinnyu Pagoda is a transitional temple and one of the first two storey structures built in Bagan. The brick structure coated with stucco is set on a low platform. On top of both the first and second storey are three receding terraces. Each terrace has a small stupa on each of its four corners. The temple was badly damaged during the 1975 earthquake and has been renovated a few years later.

The Philippines is a tropical country and has only two seasons: the wet and dry season. As we all enjoy seeing our nature turn more green during wet season, a little flashback of one of the best dry season we had during summer was to experience the 4x4 truck ride in the only sand dunes in the country. This 88-hectare beautiful spread of sand is located in Paoay, Ilocos Norte and is adjacent to Suba beach.
